The AC and DC Energy Meters are mainly used to tap the energy consumption for different operators depending on the load connected to it.DC energy consumption for the loads like BTS Microwave is calculated using DC energy meter by connecting appropriate shunts in the negative path of the loads.The voltage drop across shunt is fed to DC energy meter input terminals. The millivolts across shunts is converted into current depending upon the shunt ratio used in negative path.

The DC Energy Meter is a micro-controller based product that measures Battery DC voltage, 4 channel DC currents, and displays them on a 16 x 2 backlit LCD with auto scrolling. The parameters of DC energy meter are configurable, on request from the customer.
